How did Babydog get her name? – Renee (Princeton, WV)

Governor Justice: Babydog was a gift from my son Jay and daughter Jill for Christmas in 2020. We were opening gifts on Christmas day, and my son Jay handed this little bulldog puppy over my shoulder. I was shocked. As this little puppy was wandering around all the Christmas wrapping paper, my grandson kept saying, “Where is that baby dog? Where is that baby?” We named her Babydog.

What is your biggest accomplishment as Governor? – Thomas (Morgantown, WV)

Governor Justice: We have accomplished so much in seven years. It’s tough to believe my time as Governor is almost over. I led the effort to pass the largest personal income tax cut in state history, which is really big. As Governor, we are on track to cut taxes by over $1 billion. That’s a huge accomplishment.

Inflation has made it challenging for my family this year. As our U.S. Senator, what are your thoughts on bringing inflation down? – Sarah (Charleston, WV)

Governor Justice: President Biden’s reckless tax and spending policies have led to out-of-control inflation, record debt, and an economy on the brink of a recession. West Virginia families are finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet, and businesses of all sizes are concerned about the price of goods.

We need to send someone new to Washington with a proven track record. As your Governor, I enacted nearly $1 billion in tax cuts, which is money back into your pockets.

In the last seven years, we have created thousands of jobs, defended West Virginia coal, oil, and gas jobs, and fought to protect West Virginia values. As your Senator, I promise to stand up to President Biden and the D.C. elite and continue fighting for more jobs, lower taxes, and a stronger economy.
