As a strong supporter of our veterans, Governor Justice exempted military retirement income from state income tax, enacted a property tax rebate for disabled military veterans, awarded $5.5 million for the veteran’s nursing home in Clarksburg, funded 25 vans to transport disabled or injured veterans to medical appointments, and dedicated the largest Gold Star Families Memorial Monument in the world at the State Capitol Complex.
