President Biden’s border policies are a total disaster. Not only has Biden created a humanitarian crisis, but he has jeopardized Americans’ health, safety, and jobs with a lawless situation on our border with Mexico. Women and children are being trafficked and abused on their way to the U.S., and deadly drugs are being smuggled into our communities and killing our loved ones at alarming rates.

West Virginia is an Appalachian state with a southern border crisis. Despite the great strides we’ve made together to combat the opioid crisis in our state, the crisis won’t end until we secure our border and stem the flow of dangerous drugs like fentanyl.

Governor Justice was proud to join 26 Republican Governors in fighting against the border chaos with commonsense policies at the state level. But to make meaningful change, we need action at the federal level.

Career politicians in both parties have played politics and created this mess, and all Americans are paying the price. It’s time for Washington to face the consequences of their failed policies and to restore safety in our communities.
