Charleston, W.Va. – West Virginia Farm PAC, the political action committee of the West Virginia Farm Bureau, the voice of farmers and agriculture in West Virginia, has endorsed Governor Jim Justice for the U.S. Senate.
“We are pleased to inform you that the West Virginia Farm Bureau Political Education and Political Action Committee (WV FARM PAC) has endorsed you for the United States Senate in the General Election. Best of luck in the November election; we look forward to working with you on future issues,” said Charles Wilfong, President of the West Virginia Farm Bureau.
Before his election, Governor Justice was one of the largest farmers east of the Mississippi River, and his West Virginia farms have won national corn growing competitions. He grew his family’s farming business from a small farm in Monroe County to over 50,000 acres across four states.
Governor Justice welcomed the endorsement, “I am so honored to have the support of farmers across West Virginia. They can always count on me to fight for them because I am one of them. One of my favorite places to work is in my cornfields on a piece of equipment. Farmers across our country deserve the stability of a Farm Bill, and I will work in the U.S. Senate to get something done on this issue for them.”
Governor Justice has worked with West Virginia farmers to promote West Virginia grown agriculture products, increase agriculture jobs, and highlight the importance of farmers and agriculture businesses to our economy during his time as Governor of West Virginia.
